My Opinion of the Final 6 Figures from FSS 3.0

FSS 3.0 went over my expectations. We got so many cool figures, and if Keel Haul and Night Force Falcon from FSS 2.0 were in this FSS instead of Vypra and Night Creeper Leader, this would have been the best FSS.

Hit & Run: A great figure, I didn't care for the olive that the concept case had, but this looks brighter. I don't care for my figures to have face paint.

Repeater: An awesome, awesome figure. No complaints here.

Slice: Awesome, but I don't care for ninjas! I love what BFS did for the head sculpt.

Big Ben: Awesome! I need more figures for Action Force, GI Joe can't go all over the world, they're not nato you know ; )

Crimson Guard Immortal: Amazing, so much better than last years troop builder, Dessert Scorpion. Now if I could only get 2 of these guys without paying more than $70.00...

Bombstrike: She reminds me of someone from my favorite anime of all time... Electra from Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water (especially episodes 36 - 39). She has to be tied with Psyche Out as my favorite figure from FSS 3.0. I may try to use her head one day for an Electra custom.

Overall, if FSS 3.0 is tied with FSS 2.0 for the award for best FSS.

Final Figure of FSS 3.0 To Be Revealed TONIGHT!

I've loved this FSS (FSS 2.0 wins by a few figures), and tonight is the reveal of the final figure, and that is Bombstrike! This figure is what will make many decide to sign up or not, so the Club has to have done the best on this one! I might be able to post it on the site, but I'm going hiking tonight and may have limited internet access. I expect the reveal to be at around 5 - 9:45, but it could be 2 - 3. Visit the Tank for the reveal in case I'm not on.

A brand new 3 3/4 3D printed line!

If you've been following my work over on the tank for my status on the New Flagg (Defiant-Electrium) you probably know I've always wanted to produce 3D printed objects for my ship. Well, me and my friends are diving in to create 3 3/4 figures inspired by GI Joe's ultimate articulation (what I refer to as Generation 3.5). I'd love to have these out in 2020 - 2030, but there will be a limited run of 150 per character. They'll be FSS priced, but I can assure you all these will be painted in the best way we can. If you can recommend a name for the line, I'd love to hear it in the comments below!
Now, without a further-a-do, the figures:
Secret of Blue Water collection (Wave 1, 2, & 3):
- Captain Nemo ( includes episode 5 - 22 hair design-head sculpt, Episode 36 - 39 hair design-head sculpt)
- Gargoyle (Episodes 6 - 37 design, has 2 hand sculpts, one regular GI Joe like, other like hand in the right pocket)
- Gargoyle V2 (Episodes 37 - 39 design)
- Sanson (Includes 3 different head sculpts: Hat & Sunglasses, No hat, No sunglasses and no hat)
- Hanson (Same as Sanson's head sculpts)
- Grandvis Grandva

Evangelion (Wave 3):
- Gendo Ikari (Two pairs of hand sculpts, one regular GI Joe like, other to allow you to make the Gendo Pose)

GI Joe (Wave 4, 5, 6, 7, 8):
- Renegades Zartan
- Renegades Destro
- Renegades Baroness
- Renegades Snow Job
- Renegades Shipwreck
- Renegades Flint
- Renegades Tomax and Xamot
- New Flagg crew man (4 differentiating head sculpts)

Star Trek (Wave 8):
Kirk
Spock

Goth and Emo styled figures (an idea my friend had, wave 9, 10)
- Darth Vader (Hood, long trench coat with skull on the back)
- Cobra Commander (Like above but with dark blue, and a poorly drawn on smile)
-Destro (Like the above but dark grey and brief case)
-Zartan (Like the above but with dark brown, black, and dark blue in respectable spots, goth makeup extreme)

Note: I may not produce these, but it's a good chance I will.

Sideshow GI Joe - CANCELED???

A few day's ago it was revealed over on the tank that Sideshow had announced no new GI Joe reveals for their brand at this years SDCC. I'm not too familiar with that sub-brand, besides the fact they produced a Lt. Falcon. Obviously this is not good for the brand, as this one of the only other groups you could go to to get GI Joe's. People are divided over what caused it's hiatus. Most believe the cost of the figures was the killing of the line, while others think because they're not direct 12 inch reproductions of the original figures. Oh please, that would get so annoying! Having the exact same figures in 12 inch would bore me to tears. What Sideshow did was awesome, having new designs for awesome characters. My opinion of this: If we don't do what Sideshow did, the line is going to die.

GI Joe 2013 Night Force Psyche Out

I grew up watching the news and all sorts of adult stuff, so I knew quite a bit at 12 years old how a Psychological guy works. Psyche Out was that guy. Besides going into peoples brainwaves, he also served as their psychological councilor to make sure over-insane guys got the help they needed. When the defiant came out, I was lucky enough to use my savings for that. I used him as the sonar officer for the ship. For the 2013 figure, I loved the design and how they used 30'th anniversary Airtight's uv light thing with a sonar, that was brilliant.
Articulation is G3 meaning he has a wrist swivel, double jointed knees, 90 degree bending at the arms, and a ball joint for the head. He's accessories include three sonar discs that can attach anywhere on his arms and legs. He includes the sonar box thing mentioned above, and a rifle included from 30'th anniversary Lifeline.
Overall: I fantastic figure and one I am so "psyched out" about from FSS 3.0 this year. Overall: Pick him up!

GI Joe FSS 2.0 Cesspool Review

Ah the 90's, what a transitional century. Environmental concerns, a perverted president, and GI Joe's death (until 2002!) Most of the 80's fans had phased out of Joe by now, and were busy planning dates with girls, and social life. I still collected during this time, being the non-social nerd, but i hated the eco force story. Not only for the bright plastic, but by the brand fatigue joe was suffering. Eco Force was a decent idea in my teen mind, but I didn't really like the bright lights and plastic, and you could tell HasBlow was out of Ideas. But when I saw Cesspool, I was stunned. Not by the creepiness, but by the sheer detail and effort Boss Fight Studios put into him. They turned a boring character into one I had to get. And he did not dissapoint at all!
Cesspool ties into this years joecon set, "Zombie Initiative". I hope to be getting the set by december, so I'll have reviews up then, but for Cesspool this is an awesome figure. Articulation is G3.5, meaning he has all modern era (2007 - present) articulation such as hands bending at the wrist, ball joint for the head, double jointed knees, 90 degree articulation in the arms, etc. His accessories? Oh man, I think these are incredible. He has "Money Bags Destro's" signature accessory, a toxo gun from the 30'th anniversary hazard-viper, and backpack from 25'th anniversary Barbecue. His vest fits perfectly on my figure.
Overall: I love this figure. While he's not the "OMG!!!! YAY!!!" Keel Haul and Falcon had, he's a close to perfect companion. My only problem? His mask doesn't fit all the way, but I've heard the original toy's helmet fits perfectly over him. Pick him up!
Grade: 8.9/10

FSS 3.0: My opinions of the first six figures

Everybody should know the reveals by the club so far. I like half, don't like half.
Hit And Run: Make. Him. Orange.

Alpine: Levar Burton? Is that you? This is one of the only figures I care about, he looks so much better than the 25'th anniversary, and I always have him rock-climbing in forests, so I didn't want him Yellow and Red.

Night Creeper Leader: I must make a confession, I don't care for Ninjas. Sure the comic was so central on it, but I was more of the military guy, so when I saw the Night Creeper Leader, I wasn't impressed. What guy, goes around with no armor, bright colors, and fights ninjas? To make the matter worse, he's got 25'th's Serpentors head. UGH!!!

Psyche Out: Another figure I'm "Psyched" about! He looks awesome and was my favorite from the NF set.

Muskrat: Another figure that looks great!

Vypra: A figure I was uninterested in until I saw her, she looks better, but not good enough for $25.00.

Overall: I'm on the shelf on these 6, half are good, half are bad.

Grade: 3/6 (%50)

GI Joe FSS 2.0 Keel Haul Review

Ah the FLAGG, the ship everyone wanted. I always wanted it, but alas, I never got it. Sucked to be me then, but I did manage to get Keel Haul from a friend, and the figure had never been opened. I was so excited. When I first saw the revealing of Keel Haul from the club my mouth dropped. This guy had to be one, if not the highlight of FSS 2.0 in my opinion.
Keel Haul is created by ROC General Hawk from the neck down, and has 25'th anniversary Shipwreck's torso. His head is a brand new head-sculpt down by the guys over at Boss Fight Studios. Keel Haul even looks like my favorite Captain, Captain Nemo from Secret of Blue Water. Articulation isn't bad, but it's not 3.5 which is depressing.
Overall, the figure has to be next to Falcon as the best figure of the wave. GET THIS FIGURE!!!

GI Joe FSS 2.0 Night Force Lt. Falcon Review

For my first review, I thought I'd review my one, if not my favorite GI Joe character and toy. Most people like Falcon from the comics, not the film, so it was a real disappointment that the 25'th anniversary figure was so bad. The head, arms, legs, everything was bad about him. Luckily, in 2011 Hasbro produced a brand new head sculpt for the 30'th anniversary Slaughter Marauders (A better set than the dreadnoks), and Falcon was saved... for the most part.
Falcon's "skirt" was a real let down and kind of hindered his articulation. He also had black hair instead of brown and other nitpicks. By now everyone who is a hardcore Joe fan knows HasBlow was planning on releasing another 25'th falcon in NF colors. Thankfully the near-atrocious 25'th anniversary ended. The club brought the figure back to finish last years con set and made this figure one of the highlights of FSS 2.0
Falcon is a repaint of the 30'th Slaughters Marauders figure mentioned above, though the skirt isn't included. He now has the POC Cobra Troopers vest, which in my opinion a wise choice. It covers up where the skirt plugged in, and makes it look like nothing was there. His beret is removable, and he has the same backpack as the 25'th did. Articulation includes a waist swivel! Something I've only seen in few Transformers, so this is an awesome addition. Falcon has a shot gun and a grenade gun-thingy.
Overall, I'm so thankful the club did this. I don't have all the NF figures (I only have Psyche Out and i'm getting Charbroil within the next month), but this is the Falcon you should use as your default one for G3. I'm giving this guy 9/10, the only issue I have is the wrist articulation, but that's only minor when he's holding the shotgun. Pick this guy up!
